ABOUT ME
Karalee is a professional set designer and artistic educator based in Ottawa, Ontario.

She began her career shortly after graduating from the University of Ottawa’s Theatre program in 2020, apprenticing with a variety of artists and industry professionals who helped shape her creative approach.

Karalee works both onstage and off to make theatre more accessible and inspiring—especially for young audiences. She frequently collaborates with children and teens aged 3 to 18, offering crafted creative activities or teaching how to build imaginative, dynamic spaces from simple ideas through words, play, and collaborative design.

Her expertise extends well beyond set design. She has developed strong skills in arts administration, workshop creation, facilitation, scenic painting, and hands-on making. She has collaborated with numerous organizations, including VOX Théâtre and the National Arts Centre’s education programs, and continues to embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.

Karalee is passionate about collaborative projects that weave together meaning, curiosity, and a touch of the unexpected—designing environments that sometimes require thinking in six dimensions.

Fully bilingual, she loves working on both French and English productions. She completed her Bachelor of Education in 2023 and is always eager to share her creativity, enthusiasm, and knowledge with others.
